Pharewell Philly

Many college graduates commonly reminisce about their “good ol’ college days”. They recant they youthful and frequent house-parties, showing up to class intoxicated, and various dorm room pranks and shenanigans. Fondly remembering, quite possibly, their “glory years” knowing that they will never and can never go back. This type of phenomena hasn’t been all that commonplace outside of our younger years. Maybe you could do things before you got married or had kids that you no longer can do due to other responsibilities. If you used to live in a certain place and reminisce about it chances are, in past times, you could go back and visit and things wouldn’t be all that different. Maybe the more time has passed since you’ve been back the more different it will be however, driving through your hometown and pointing out all the landmarks where you used to do this and that, in most cases, will be quite similar to when you were a kid. Unfortunately, in many places, those instances are quickly changing and disappearing. Places are physically and morally crumbling at a blistering place. As I wrote back on May 3rd, 2021 in Phading Philly, the city was in decline and very clearly a distant shadow of itself. The city has now stooped to a new low.

On December 13th, 2021 the Philadelphia Department of Public Health announced that in January 2022 there will be a compulsory proof of up-to-date inoculations passport mandate for “any establishment in Philadelphia that sells food and/or drink for consumption onsite”. This applies for much of the city and really is the last snowflake on the avalanche of discrimination within the city. This is already on top of their existing mask, test, or up-to-date inoculation schedule mandate preventing natural humans who want to maintain their human health status from entering. The magnitude of doublethink, contradictions, and lack of critical thought is impressive. From the former capital city in the state founded by the most famous Quaker this discrimination is simply embarrassing. These policies will push people, families, and commerce either into decay if they stay within city limits or cause them to leave. This comes at a seemingly convenient time for the powers that be due to the extremely high asset prices and cost of living both of which they have brought about. Both of these factors will financially and biologically entrap many who would otherwise want out of the urban dystopia. The timing of January 2022 is right in lockstep with the president’s OSHA “emergency” mandate. Just another example of the coordinated global effort to further enslave and destroy the soul of humanity itself.

This mandate in the city which I considered my second home, my retreat, and my favorite city due to the quality of people, great establishments, and its preservation of historical character has left me saying pharewell. Pharewell Center City, Old City, University City, and Fishtown. Pharewell to all the establishments and street corners my friends and I used to stir a ruckus and enjoy endless shenanigans. Pharewell especially to Bar, my favorite bar in the city. Pharewell to the countless museums and monuments that I am now barred from entry. Pharewell Philly.
